In line with the new Animal Welfare Act in Research (Tierschutz-Versuchstierverordnung), the German Zoological Society offers a workshop on animals in scientific procedures.
Since 2015 all scientists performing animal experiments on vertebrates, decapodes or cephalopodes need to attend annual training in addition to their original licence. This workshop provides the opportunity to acquire this training during the annual meeting of the DZG.
The workshop will cover the new regulations of animal welfare in research, animal keeping, physiological monitoring, surgical procedures in small mammals, analgesia as well as methods in field research.
The registration fee is 60 EUR. DZG membership is not required for registration.
The detailed programme can be found under the linked buttons above.
